To use any of our Power BI Templates, it's required to have Power BI Desktop installed on your machine. Below are the steps to follow to install Power BI:
1. The simplest way to install Power BI Desktop is by downloading its executable file from Microsoft Download Centre by clicking on the following link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=58494
2. Once in the page, choose the language of our choice and click download.
3. This will prompt you to choose either a 32-bit or 64-bit installation file for download. (Choose a version supported by your computer)
4. Once downloaded, run the .exe installation file, this will launch a Setup Wizard. Follow the on screen instructions which involves accepting license terms etc.,
5. After installation is finished, Power BI is installed as an application on your desktop.
Note: While it's not required to sign in to Power BI Desktop, you can do so to take advantage of additional features, such as accessing online data sources and sharing reports.
